Dominique Salerno is a passionate and inspired yoga practitioner and teacher.
She discovered the benefits of yoga in 1995 whilst studying at university.
In 2000 she co-founded the Australian Yoga Academy with her husband Anthony which they owned and operated until 2021. During those 20 years they established 9 yoga studios around Melbourne and trained countless qualified yoga teachers who are teaching and changing lives around Australia.
Dominique is passionate about providing the highest quality public classes and professional training for yoga teachers at a foundation level as well as in specialist subject areas.
In addition to her many years teaching and studying in Australia, Dominique spent over 12 months in India, Thailand and Taiwan studying Ashtanga Yoga, Pranayama, Sanskrit, Yogic Philosophy and Ayurvedic Medicine.
Dominique believes that yoga is a tool for developing our human potential and is a rare individual with the unique ability to communicate the internal benefits of practice, complex theory and technique and timeless spiritual concepts in a practical and down to earth manner.
She continues to lecture and teach both public classes and teacher trainings; currently offering a selection of public livestream Pranayama and Ashtanga Vinyasa practice groups as well as a Yoga Teachers Post Graduate Mentoring Program and 50 hr Pranayama Certification.
Her open heart, indomitable energy and relaxed approach enable her to truly connect with her students, inspiring those she works with to empower all areas of their lives.
