International Women’s Day will be striding confidently onto the global stage on March 8th, 2022. We say “striding confidently” because this year, women around the world have stepped up to an impressive new level to deliver some of the most innovative initiatives we’ve seen for this annual event.

By visiting the International Women’s Day website, you can find plenty of ways to get involved, whether it be as an individual or an organisation. There are ready-made resources you can use to go all-out and plan your own event or keep it simple and create impactful social media posts. Get the Girls Out!

This free event blends the digital and natural worlds while also connecting women across the globe through a shared adventure. To get involved, all you have to do is download the Goosechase app and enjoy the outdoor-themed missions. Though the point of Get the Girls Out is, as the name suggests, to get women out and into the restorative beauty of nature, there’s also a stack of brilliant prizes to win. International Women’s Day Gather

From mother/daughter brunches to speed-networking events, there are some incredible initiatives taking place in Australia for IWD 2022. However, one of our favourites has to be the International Women’s Day Gather event, which is designed to reawaken our old village vibes by bringing people together to share stories and wisdom. 

The idea is to create a judgement-free space for all those who identify as women to share experiences of both feeling prejudice and breaking through it. In doing so, we can start to recalibrate our understanding of femininity.

There are so many brilliant initiatives to get involved in for IWD 2022.
